AFP-Colorado Statement on National School Choice Week
DENVER, CO — As National School Choice Week kicks off, Americans for Prosperity-Colorado (AFP-Colorado) is highlighting the importance of fostering an education system that prioritizes an individualized approach to learning.
Every student deserves a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs. Improving and protecting policies like school choice and open enrollment empowers families to choose the best educational choice for their students.
AFP-Colorado State Director Jesse Mallory issued the following statement on National School Choice Week:
“A child’s education should not be determined by a zip code – open enrollment policies provide opportunity for Colorado’s students to select a school that is a better fit for their needs. These policies prioritize students over systems and give power back to parents and families.
“While the legislature is underway, AFP-Colorado intends to focus on protecting school choice in the Centennial Stat so that each student has the opportunity to thrive.”
