Americans for Prosperity – Colorado Issues Statement on Energy Secretary Granholm’s Visit to Colorado
DENVER, CO – Ahead of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s visit to Colorado to highlight “clean energy projects,” Americans for Prosperity – Colorado (AFP-CO) is blasting the Biden Administration’s failed policies that have hampered energy production and increased costs in the Centennial State.
AFP-CO State Director Jesse Mallory released the following statement:
“Secretary Granholm’s visit to Colorado is nothing more than a PR stunt to appease President Biden’s radical supporters and promote their far-left energy agenda. Colorado is the fourth-largest crude oil producer in the country, providing 54,000 direct jobs and 249,320 indirect jobs across the state. Despite this, President Biden and his Administration have repeatedly attacked domestic energy production and as a result, hindered economic growth.
“Colorado’s oil and gas industry is a lifeline for the state economy, our workforce, and families in every corner of the state. We urge Secretary Granholm to recognize these working Coloradans who pay taxes, and protect energy-sector jobs instead of pandering to radical activists in an election year.”
