AFP-Colorado Statement on Gov. Polis’ Veto of SB 5
DENVER, CO — Earlier this month, Americans for Prosperity-Colorado (AFP-Colorado) called on Governor Jared Polis to veto SB25-005, a bill that would undermine the longstanding constitutional right to free association in the Centennial State. On Friday, Governor Polis vetoed the legislation.
AFP-Colorado Deputy State Director Brittany Trujillo issued the following statement after Governor Polis’ veto:
“Governor Polis made the right decision to veto SB 5. SB25-005 would have hindered competition in the state and created worse outcomes for Colorado workers. This veto is a victory for workers and small businesses throughout the state and we appreciate Governor Polis going against his Party to do what’s best for Coloradans.”
